At Carbonpave, we are redefining road construction with Carbon Asphalt, an innovative paving solution that is both durable and environmentally responsible. By harnessing the power of biochar, a high-performance material derived from biomass, we create asphalt that is stronger, more resilient, and sustainable.
Beyond its sustainability benefits, Carbon Asphalt represents a breakthrough in modern infrastructure, offering a more reliable and high-performance alternative to traditional asphalt. By improving durability and efficiency, we ensure that roads remain intact for longer, reducing the need for frequent repairs and conserving valuable resources.

APPLICATION AND INSTALLATION
Installation
Carbonpave Cold Asphalt Premix can be installed by way of labor-intensive “manual” methods or through the use of conventional pavers, with only lightweight compaction equipment being needed. Carbonpave Road Products require no modification to standard paving equipment.

COST BENEFITS & COMPARISON
10-40% Cost Saving
Depending on the Application
Up to 10% Cost Saving
No tack coat or primer needed, as Carbonpave utilizes a penetration based bonding system that permanently bonds with all compacted road base, concrete, and existing road surfaces.
Up to 40% Cost Saving
Resurfacing can be done at a minimum thickness of 10mm, on damaged or smooth roads, helping to rejuvenate the surface and create a new skid-resistant wearing course, prolonging the lifespan of the existing road.
Up to 10 – 30% Cost Saving
No wastage, as material can be stored at the site in bags or covered with a tarpaulin before being used. Carbonpave in LDPE bags has a shelf life of more than 12 months, and loose bulk loaded on tipper lorry and covered with a tarpaulin can travel for more than 10 days before use.
Up to 10% Cost Saving
No heat, no solvents, no mess, no smell, which means less protective gear needed by workers and faster installation time. Very little downtime, as installation can proceed in light rain drizzle, as well as up to 4 hours before heavy rain showers.
Up to 30% Cost Saving
Bulk relative density is less than standard hot premix asphalt, and Carbonpave can also be installed at a lesser thickness due to its superior anionic binder bonding system. Therefore, less material per square meter is needed, which will reduce transport cost and installation time.
Up to 20% Cost Saving
Compaction can be done using only 4 to 6-ton vibrating smooth drum rollers, reducing the necessity of more heavy-duty 10 to 12-ton rollers needed for hot premix installations. In addition, very little specialized equipment or personnel are required to install Carbonpave, reducing installation time and cost.
